About Boat-Ed

Boat-Ed, produced by Kalkomey Enterprises, is an official state-delegated boating education provider with a course for nearly every state. Completing the self-paced course earns that state’s official boater education card, and the curriculum is built to NASBLA’s guidelines.

Each state’s course is approved and priced separately — $54.95 in most states, less in a few such as Michigan ($29.50) and Rhode Island ($29.95). It is entry-level safety education, not on-water training or captain’s licensing.
